Fuelcards, also known as fleet cards or fleet fuelcards, are a type of payment card that are specifically designed for use at fuel stations. They are issued to individuals and businesses that operate a fleet of vehicles, and they allow employees to purchase fuel for those vehicles without the need for cash or personal credit cards.

Applying for a fuelcard with Fuelcard Store is a simple process. You can apply online by filling out the application form and providing the required information. The application typically includes basic information about your business, such as your company name, contact information, and information about the vehicles in your fleet. Once you have submitted your application, the Fuelcard Store team will review it and contact you if they need any additional information. Once approved, the fuelcard will be sent to the postal address provided on the application.

The process of receiving your fuelcards after applying online with Fuelcard Store is typically quick, with a turnaround time of 7 days or less. Once your application is approved, the fuelcards will be sent to the postal address provided on the application, and you should receive them within a week or less.

Fuelards are typically used to purchase fuel only at fuel stations. Some fuelcards can also be used to purchase other items at the fuel station such as oil, lubricants, and car washes.

We will keep you informed of fuel prices by sending you weekly updates via email or text message. As fuel prices can change frequently, we will notify you of the updated price every Friday and it will be effective from Monday to Sunday of the following week. This allows you to plan and budget accordingly for the week ahead.

You will only be billed for fuel purchases when the fuelcard is used. For example, if you use the card during a certain week, an invoice will be sent to you the following Tuesday, and payment will be taken by Direct Debit 7 days after the invoice date. This way you only pay for what you have used and not for any unused or dormant cards.

Typically, fuelcard holders can save up to 10p per litre on fuel purchases, although in some cases the savings can be up t 30p per litre depending on where you’re located.

Fuelcards are typically only accepted at specific fuel stations or networks of fuel stations. For example, a fuelcard branded with a specific company like BP would typically only be accepted at BP fuel stations. However, there are also multi-branded fuelcards available that can be used at a variety of fuel stations across different brands. To find out where you can use your specific fuelcard, you can visit the site locator on the Fuelcard Store website or download the Velocity app from the app store. This will give you the information of the fuel stations that accept your card and you can plan accordingly.

If you have lost or your fuelcard has been stolen, you can contact your account manager immediately to report the incident and stop the card from being used. Your account manager will be able to cancel the card and issue a new one. Additionally, you can also stop the card online via the Velocity app which is available on the app store. This way you can have control over your card and you can manage it more easily. It's important to report lost or stolen cards as soon as possible to prevent unauthorized use and avoid potential financial losses.

If you need to order new fuelcards for your fleet, you can contact your account manager to request them. They will be able to assist you in the process and provide you with the necessary information. Alternatively, you can also order new cards through the Velocity app, which is available on the app store. The process is simple and user-friendly. Keep in mind that fuelcards are replaced free of charge, so you don't have to worry about any additional costs. It's always a good idea to have extra cards on hand in case of loss or damage, or to add new vehicles to your fleet.

Setting spending limits on your fuelcards is a great way to control and monitor fuel expenses for your fleet. Typically, this can be done at the point of ordering your fuelcards, but if you need to change the limits later, you can contact your account manager for assistance. They will be able to set up spending limits for you or replace the existing fuelcards with new ones that have the desired limits. This way you can have full control on the employee expenses.

To view your fuelcard transaction history, you can simply log into the Velocity app or website, where all of your fuelcard transactions will be displayed. The app or website will allow you to view the details of each transaction, such as the date, time, location, and amount of the purchase, as well as the vehicle and the driver associated with the transaction. You can also filter and sort the transactions by various criteria, such as date range, vehicle, or driver, and export the transaction history to a spreadsheet for further analysis. This way you can monitor your fuel usage, identify any potential issues or fraud, and make informed decisions about your fuel expenses.

Fuelcards are available to a wide range of individuals, businesses, and organizations, including individuals, sole traders, and limited companies. Everybody is welcome to apply, regardless of the size or type of their business. However, it's important to note that fuelcards are issued subject to credit checks, which means that the issuer will evaluate the creditworthiness of the applicant before issuing a card. This is to ensure that the issuer is protected against potential financial losses.
